The Clayton County school board has rejected a disciplinary board's recommendation to suspend Jonesboro High School assistant principal Sandra Nicholson for three days without pay for her handling of a provocative student performance. The school board decided Monday night to issue a letter of reprimand to Nicholson and drop all punishment. Nicholson initially was punished after parents complained about the school dance team's performance at halftime at a basketball game in January. The dance team was disbanded. On Tuesday, Nicholson's attorney, Keith Martin, said the assistant principal had received no official word on the board's actions and declined to comment.
